ECB Concussion Guidance for Players, Parents & Coaches

Participating in sports is an excellent way to keep our bodies healthy and active.
Cricket is a sport loved and played by millions worldwide. The game is fast-paced and physically demanding, which like any physical activity, comes with a risk of injury. Therefore, having knowledge of first aid is crucial for any athlete, coach, or sports enthusiast.

Over the past few weeks, a number of our members have taken part in some invaluable training and learnt some very insightful pieces of information.

As a club, this has enabled us to become more aware of potential hazards and risks that may arise during the game. This increased awareness will help create a safer environment for everyone involved in the game.

To ensure we are all suitably prepared in the event of an emergency, our MEAP containing the code for our on-site defibrillator will soon be uploaded to the documents section on our website. This will be saved alongside information regarding the ECB’s Concussion protocols and graduated return to play.

A massive thank you to both Dan at Millie’s Trust and Roger from the Cheshire Cricket Board for providing us with these incredible sessions, helping us to keep all our members safe!
